On February 9th 2017 the Preventive Health Program started a new year of monthly visits to rural communities and barrios in and around Estelí, visiting the Western barrio "Nuevo Amanecer" of Estelí.
On February 7th 2017 the Domestic Violence Prevention Program (ICES) started a new year of monthly visits to the health center of the rural community "Isiquí" to give talks to local people about domestic violence prevention.

Maria Hernandez Reyes - responsible for the kitchen - prepares meals and snacks and sells them to people visiting the Superemos site and to members of the cooperative and the Superemos Foundation.
At the Superemos site the nursery project cultivates plants and flowers to sell.
Through 2016 the Esteli Women’s School was again able to give scholarships to 69 low income women students from marginal barrios in the city of Estelí. All of these students are women whose only practical option to complete their secondary education is to study with us in the Estelí Women’s School because other secondary education institutions do not offer them the timetable and attention that they need in order to successfully complete their studies. Since our program offers only night classes, we provide free transport home each night for our women students to their barrios.
On January 12th the Christine King Cooperative went to rural communities in Miraflor to discus with local people if they want to participate in a project of ecological toilets as an alternative for the traditional latrines.
On December 30th 2016 "Casa Canadiense" came to visit the Superemos site with a group of Canadian students .
On December 12th 2016 the Superemos Foundation and the Christine King Cooperative celebrated the Immaculate Conception of Maria ("la purisima"), a very important religious festival in Nicaragua.
On December 11th the Sones Segovianos art education project had an end of year concert with performances of the music and dance students and an exposition of paintings made by painting students.
