Remodelling work on the project site almost ready

During January everyone in the projects has been hard at work. The routine activities of the cooperative in its various workshops have continued despite the inevitable disruption caused by remodelling spaces to prepare the site for the rains that will begin in May.

The ceramic workshop has been using a space that will be taken over by the Estelí Women's School whose classes begin on February 5th. We are also preparing to used the school classroom space that is empty on weekdays for music education classes.

An important part of the remodelling work has been an almost complete rewiring of the electrical system across the whole site.

This month we are looking forward to a visit by a medical delegation from Boston, coordinated by Dr. Peter Loewinthan of the Dorchester House Multi Service Center. The extra space created by the redistribution and rebuilding we are doing will make it easier for us to accommodate visiting delegations and in general provide a better service for all the users of the Superemos project site here in Estelí
