On Saturday March 29th the local municipal authority and local offices of government ministries organized a concert for Mothers' Day. The concert was attended by hundreds of invited mothers from all over Estelí. As part of the activity, students of the music education project supported by Superemos took part helped by the two educators organizing the project, Hannah Given Wilson and Alfredo Quintero. Heavy rains disrupted the prepartations for the concert so not all the students took part. From Hannah's choral group of 25 students, eight students took part. While from Alfredo's older group of instrumental students, four took part. Hannah's students sang two songs, "El caballito chontaleño" and "Yo soy de un pueblo sencillo". Alfredo's group played four instrumental numbers from across Latin America.
