The Superemos Foundation is a non-profit
foundation 1999, registered with the Nicaraguan government
since 1999. Based in our community center, conveniently
located on the main highway heading north out of the city of
Estelí, our mission is to promote sustainable community
development through education, training and related health
and social work programs.
We work closely with local partner organizations and with the relevant local authorities.

Our adult secondary education classes, supervised by Nicaragua’s Ministry of Education, serve people from low income families including over 150 mainly women students.
Over 60 children benefit from our music education classes which are validated by Nicaragua’s Institute of Culture.
We also provide training in computer and audio-visual media skills, sewing, baking and ceramics. In the area of public health we have a program addressing domestic violence and promoting preventive health in the city of Estelí and its outlying communities.

2017 medical brigade prepares to leave
for a rural community near Estelí
Every year we host a visiting medical brigade attending around 1500 patients in over 20 mainly rural communities in the department of Estelí.
We also facilitate a wide variety of other activities including teacher training, community infrastructure projects and research activities with the local campus of the National Autonomous University.
