In early April, the Director of the Nicaraguan Institute of Culture visited Superemos to evaluate the "Sones Segovianos" music education project. The visit lasted all morning, including a short presentation by the students of the music school led by the school's Director Hannah Curteis.

The main points of discussion with Luis Morales and his colleagues were approval by the Nicaraguan Institute of Culture of the "Sones Segovianos" diplomas and possible help with the design of a second storey on the existing school building.

The Sones Segovianos music program is funded by the Central American Fund for Human Development and by the family and friends of Hannah Curteis. The overall program benefits around 50 students in Estelí and around 20 students inthe small town of Palacagüina, about 55km north of Estelí.
