In March this year the "Christine King" Multi Service Cooperative was able to begin art classes for young children aged between six and twelve years old as an addition to the existing music and dance classes of Sones Segovianos. This programme is funded by the Casa Canadiense, a Canadian funded community development group based in Managua, Nicaragua's capital. The classes are given by Francisca Arcia who is qualified both in pre-school education and as an art teacher and by the very experienced graphic artist and muralist Alan Parrales. |
