For several years Superemos has promoted various programs and projects in local rural communities around Estelí. Currently the foundation is working in San Pedro and El Limón to the east and south west of the city respectively.
In recent years we have helped both communities with preventive health care programs, legal aid for low income families and water supply projects. Last year we tried to follow up our support for the community in El Limon with a project to power the water pump that supplies the community with electricity. |

Hannah Given-Wilson lives in El Limon with her husband and daughter and has worked closely with the community for several years as they have tried to improve local infrastructure. In this interview she explains some of the difficulties the community has had in trying to get electricity to El Limon to power their water system.
