On March 9th Lissa Barr Shaw of the Barr Foundation in Oklahoma and her partner Jim Shaw visited the Superemos Foundation and its different projects. The Estelí Women's School was founded by Lissa's father Robert L. Barr in 1999.

The violence prevention program (ICES) received visit from three psychologists from Boston.

On February 20th the medical brigade went to "San Pedro" and "Isidrio", two Eastern rural communities of Estelí.

On February 17th 2017 Ana Lazar (social worker) gave a workshop to health promoters of Estelí's health centers about accidents at home and first aid, with special emphasis on prevention.

On February 15th Dr. Clare Alexander (family medicine) and Ana Lazar (social worker) gave a talk to students of the Estelí women's school about reproductive health.

Every three months Dr. Michelle Henshaw from the Boston University "Henry M. Goldman" School of Dental Medicine visits various preschools in Estelí to apply fluoride varnish on children's teeth and to train local teachers in applying the fluoride varnish.

From February 13th until 17th Dr. Dennis Simon, with specialization in pediatric critical care medicine, has been giving workshops to pediatricians and medical students in Estelí's public hospital and has been supporting them at the pediatric intensive care unit.

From February 13th until 17th 2017 children from local preschools in Estelí have been receiving dental care at the municipal "Leonel Rugama" health center in Estelí from the dental brigade of the Boston University "Henry M. Goldman" School of Dental Medicine led by Dr. Lizania Montero.

On February 11th 2017 the medical brigade of the Dot House Health multi-service center in Boston arrived at Superemos and on Sunday 12th we spent the day in preparations for the clinics in the communities where the brigade will be working over the following week.
